- Retail — NAICS 44–45
- Trucking — NAICS 48–49
- Accommodation and Food Services — NAICS 72
5%, 238 spots
- Retail Trade and Other Services: 5%, 238 spots
- Accommodation and Food Services: 15%, 714 spots
Saskatchewan 정부: SINP Processing Statistics
| Intake | Sector | Position limit | Used | Remaining |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sept. 14, 2026 9:30 AM | Trucking | 150 | 94 | 56 |
| Sept. 14, 2026 9:30 AM | Retail | 175 | 123 | 52 |
| Sept. 14, 2026 1:30 PM | Accommodation | 50 | 50 | 0 |
| Sept. 15, 2026 1:30 PM | Food Services | 175 | 175 | 0 |
SINP Immigration FAQs
- Work Permit
Hiring Workers for Permanent Jobs through SINP
First-come, first-served
- Work Permit
- Priority Sectors: allocation 2,380 / nominations YTD 1,466
- Capped Sectors: allocation 1,190 / nominations YTD 718
- Other Sectors: allocation 1,191 / nominations YTD 444
- Total: allocation 4,761 / nominations YTD 2,628
- Health care
- Agriculture
- Skilled trades
- Mining
- Manufacturing
- Energy
- Technology
반면 Retail, Trucking, Accommodation and Food Services는 별도의 annual cap과 intake window restrictions가 적용됩니다.
Saskatchewan의 FAQ에는 원래 2026년 Capped Sector window가 January, March, May, July, September, November로 계획돼 있었다고 설명돼 있습니다.
2. Work Permit
Accommodation·Food Services
- Spots는 first-come, first-served입니다.
- Nomination YTD

Full English Version
The final 2026 capped-sector intake under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) opened on September 14 and 15 for Trucking, Retail, Accommodation and Food Services. Immediately before publication, Saskatchewan's official table showed 56 remaining positions for Trucking and 52 for Retail, while the September limits for Accommodation and Food Services had already been reached. However, a remaining-position number is not a personal reservation: the employer's EPA, the intake window, the candidate's work-permit timing and the applicable SINP eligibility requirements must all be satisfied.
Key update: Saskatchewan states that the September intake is the final capped-sector intake for 2026. The official table currently shows 94 of 150 Trucking positions used, leaving 56, and 123 of 175 Retail positions used, leaving 52. All 50 Accommodation positions and all 175 Food Services positions for this intake have been used. These figures can change, so the official SINP page and OASIS availability should be checked again immediately before submission.
Why does the final 2026 capped-sector intake matter?
Saskatchewan does not treat every sector the same way under the 2026 SINP. In addition to Priority Sectors, the province operates Capped Sectors with specific annual and intake-window limits.
According to the current SINP Processing Statistics page, the 2026 Capped Sectors are:
- Retail — NAICS 44–45
- Trucking — NAICS 48–49
- Accommodation and Food Services — NAICS 72
Together, these capped sectors are limited to a maximum of 25% of Saskatchewan's 2026 SINP nomination allocation. The published sector allocation is:
- Trucking: 5%, or 238 spots
- Retail Trade and Other Services: 5%, or 238 spots
- Accommodation and Food Services: 15%, or 714 spots
Government of Saskatchewan: SINP Processing Statistics
These annual figures are not the same thing as positions currently available in a specific intake window. Annual sector caps, intake-window position limits, EPAs already submitted and nominations already issued are different measurements.
What does the official September table currently show?
Saskatchewan's published table shows:
| Intake | Sector | Position limit | Used | Remaining |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sept. 14, 2026 9:30 AM | Trucking | 150 | 94 | 56 |
| Sept. 14, 2026 9:30 AM | Retail | 175 | 123 | 52 |
| Sept. 14, 2026 1:30 PM | Accommodation | 50 | 50 | 0 |
| Sept. 15, 2026 1:30 PM | Food Services | 175 | 175 | 0 |
The province separately states that the September Accommodation intake reached its position limit on September 14 and the Food Services intake reached its limit on September 15.
Trucking and Retail, by contrast, still show 56 and 52 remaining positions respectively in the official table.
That does not mean a worker can personally reserve one of those spots. The number describes the position limit for the intake, while an actual submission still depends on employer preparation, an open submission window and candidate eligibility.
The September 14 start date has passed. Can Trucking and Retail still be submitted?
The date alone does not answer the question.
Saskatchewan's official Immigration FAQs state that capped-sector intake windows may remain open for several days. The Processing Statistics page also states that spots are first-come, first-served and that submission in OASIS is possible only when the intake is open and space remains.
Therefore, the fact that the official table still displays 56 Trucking and 52 Retail positions is important, but the final operational check must be made in OASIS at the time of submission.
Government of Saskatchewan: SINP Immigration FAQs
A practical sequence is:
- Confirm that the employer's sector actually falls within a capped sector.
- Check the candidate's exact work permit expiry date.
- Confirm that the Saskatchewan employer is ready to complete and submit the EPA process.
- Recheck remaining positions on the official Processing Statistics page.
- Confirm that OASIS is currently accepting the submission.
The table is not a guarantee of real-time availability.
What if the work permit has more than six months left?
Under the current published rule, a candidate in a Capped Sector must have six months or less remaining on a valid work permit to apply through the capped-sector intake.
Saskatchewan states that employers in capped sectors can submit only during the scheduled 2026 intake windows and only where the candidate has six months or less remaining on the work permit. Applications for candidates with more than six months remaining will not be accepted.
This does not mean that a worker automatically qualifies for SINP as soon as the permit enters its final six months. It is an additional timing requirement for the capped-sector intake.
Two separate questions must be answered:
- Is the candidate within the permitted intake timing?
- Does the candidate meet all substantive eligibility requirements for the applicable SINP category?
Meeting the first does not automatically satisfy the second.
What is an EPA and why must the employer be ready?
An Employer Position Assessment (EPA) is the process through which a Saskatchewan employer seeks approval of a position used to support a worker under the SINP.
Saskatchewan's employer guidance explains that the EPA process assesses whether the employer, occupation, wage and working conditions meet SINP requirements.
Government of Saskatchewan: Hiring Workers for Permanent Jobs through SINP
The Processing Statistics page also states that each position requested on an EPA counts toward the intake-window limit. An employer requesting multiple positions can therefore affect the number of positions used in the window.
Employers may prepare EPA drafts in OASIS in advance. Saskatchewan specifically encourages advance drafting because final submission is only available when the intake is open and space remains.
This is why a candidate cannot simply see a remaining-position number and submit a personal PR application in isolation. Employer-side and candidate-side steps are connected.
What does first-come, first-served mean?
The official page states that capped-sector spots are first-come, first-served.
Even an otherwise eligible worker can miss an intake if preparation is incomplete and the position limit is reached first. In the September intake, all 50 Accommodation positions were used on September 14, and all 175 Food Services positions were used on September 15.
Speed, however, is not the only concern.
An EPA or candidate filing that contains incorrect or inconsistent information about duties, wages, employment, work authorization or immigration history can create problems that are more serious than submitting a few minutes later.
Before filing, review:
- the work permit and exact expiry date
- the actual employer and work location
- the NOC and TEER based on real duties rather than job title alone
- wage and hours
- employment period and payroll evidence
- employer business information
- any previous EPA or SINP records
- the candidate's prior Canadian immigration history
Why should you not calculate “2,133 nominations are still available”?
The official page also publishes nomination statistics for 2026:
- Priority Sectors: allocation 2,380 / nominations YTD 1,466
- Capped Sectors: allocation 1,190 / nominations YTD 718
- Other Sectors: allocation 1,191 / nominations YTD 444
- Total: allocation 4,761 / nominations YTD 2,628
A simple subtraction of 2,628 from 4,761 produces 2,133. Saskatchewan, however, expressly warns that these nomination figures are updated quarterly and do not include applications currently in process. Actual remaining availability may therefore be lower than the arithmetic difference.
It would be misleading to describe the result as “2,133 PR spots are still open.”
For the same reason, an annual capped-sector allocation should not be confused with the remaining positions in the September intake window.
How are Priority Sectors different from Capped Sectors?
Saskatchewan currently identifies the following 2026 Priority Sectors:
- Health care
- Agriculture
- Skilled trades
- Mining
- Manufacturing
- Energy
- Technology
These sectors are not tied to the September 14–15 capped-sector window in the same way. Saskatchewan's FAQ states that Priority and other non-capped sectors have continuous open intake during the year.
Retail, Trucking, Accommodation and Food Services, by contrast, are subject to specific sector caps and intake-window restrictions.
Accordingly, it is inaccurate to say that “SINP ended on September 15.” What is ending is the final scheduled 2026 intake for the capped sectors, not the SINP as a whole.
Why is September now the final intake if November was originally planned?
Saskatchewan's FAQ explains that the 2026 capped-sector schedule was originally planned around January, March, May, July, September and November windows.
The current notice at the top of the Processing Statistics page now states that September 14 and 15 constitute the final capped-sector intake in 2026, and that nomination spaces previously allocated to later intakes are being made available in September.
Candidates should therefore not rely on an older schedule and assume that another capped-sector opportunity will automatically open in November.
For someone who must use a capped-sector route in 2026, the current September window should be treated as the final published window.
What should a Trucking or Retail worker check now?
While the official table still displays remaining positions, the following points require immediate review.
1. Sector classification
Do not rely only on the company name. Confirm that the employer's business falls within the capped-sector classification. Saskatchewan lists Retail as NAICS 44–45 and Trucking as NAICS 48–49.
2. Work permit timing
Calculate the exact remaining validity of the candidate's work permit. The relevant rule is six months or less, so the printed expiry date matters.
3. Employer EPA readiness
Confirm that the employer meets the SINP employer requirements and is actually ready to submit the EPA. Candidate documents alone are not enough if the employer-side process is incomplete.
4. Consistency of the filing
Employer job information must match the candidate's employment history, status, duties and supporting records.
5. Live official check
Remaining positions can change. Immediately before submission, recheck the SINP Processing Statistics page and OASIS.
Are Accommodation and Food Services already closed for this September intake?
According to the current official table, all 50 Accommodation positions and all 175 Food Services positions in the September intake have been used, and the province states that the respective intake limits were reached.
A new position should therefore not be assumed to be available in those September windows.
If an EPA or application was already submitted, the fact that the window later filled is different from the outcome of that already-filed case. The application will still be assessed according to its completeness and eligibility.
It is also important not to confuse the 2026 annual capped-sector allocation with the position limit for this specific September intake.
Does a SINP nomination mean permanent residence is approved?
No.
The SINP is the provincial process through which Saskatchewan may nominate an eligible candidate for permanent residence. A nomination is not the same thing as final Canadian permanent resident status. The applicant must proceed through the applicable federal permanent residence process and satisfy IRCC's federal requirements, including admissibility.
Likewise, entering an intake window, obtaining an approved EPA and receiving a provincial nomination are separate stages.
Treating the process as “getting a spot means getting PR” can cause applicants to overlook important eligibility and documentation requirements.
Final summary
The key numbers in this update are straightforward. Immediately before publication, Saskatchewan's official September 2026 capped-sector table showed 56 remaining Trucking positions and 52 remaining Retail positions. Accommodation and Food Services showed zero remaining positions, with the province confirming that those intake limits had been reached.
The practical rules are just as important:
- The final 2026 capped-sector intake began on September 14 and 15.
- Trucking and Retail still show remaining positions in the official table.
- A capped-sector candidate must have six months or less remaining on a valid work permit.
- Employer EPA steps and the candidate's SINP filing are connected.
- Spots are first-come, first-served.
- An intake window may remain open for several days, but actual submission availability must be confirmed in OASIS.
- The September Accommodation and Food Services limits have been reached.
- Quarterly nomination statistics cannot be converted into a guaranteed number of open PR spots by simple subtraction.
- Saskatchewan now identifies September as the final capped-sector intake for 2026, so older references to a November window should not be relied upon.
